Salvador Moreno Peralta
Salvador Moreno Peralta is a renowned Architect and Town Planner from Málaga, as well as an academic of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Telmo. His studio, SMP Arquitectos, is located in his native Málaga, home to some of his greatest works, including the engineering building of the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Málaga (Polytechnic University of Málaga) and the Escuela Técnica Superior de Málaga ( Architecture University of Málaga), the Department of Law and the Larios and Málaga Nostrum commercial centres.
Despite hailing from Málaga and living in different cities in Spain, Madrid is the city that changed his life forever, since it was here that he graduated from the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (Architecture University of Madrid).
If there is one thing that defines him, it is his passion for creation and his search for excellence through his work. For this reason, Salvador Moreno Peralta has won various prizes. In 1999, he received the Europa Nostra prize, for reforming Melilla’s fortified compounds. In 1983, he took home the National Town Planning Prize for the General Plan of Urban Planning (PGOU) of Málaga.
Other important works include the Alel Building of the Technological Park of Andalusia, the Town Hall of Torremolinos and the Melilla Pavilion at Expo 2008 in Zaragoza.
Architecture is his life, though literature and art in all its forms are his true passions.
