DOM3 kicks off the season with a members' meeting to plan for the end of the y

This week, DOM3 held its first members' assembly of the season, a meeting aimed at taking the pulse of the sector, reviewing the actions carried out up until the summer, and outlining a clear strategy for the final quarter of 2024, a year marked by the sector's greatest growth in recent decades.

During the meeting, there was a strong focus on planning projects for the autumn, with an emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency, and the use of advanced technologies in architecture. Possible approaches for the upcoming Marbella Design Fair were also discussed, with the goal of continuing to position the Costa del Sol as a benchmark in high-end home design and construction.

One of the season's most prominent events will take place on 22 October, consisting of a private reception for members at the Marbella Club. Entrepreneurs will be welcomed by Marbella’s mayor, the hotel’s director, Julián Cabanillas, and Count Rudi, who will share the story of the founding of this iconic location and reflect on the golden years of the city

The more than 40 companies associated with DOM3 generated a total business volume nearing 1.2 billion euros, representing a 15% increase compared to 2022. This significant growth in revenue is mainly due to increased business activity in line with the sector's dynamism, along with the association's expansion, which added more than 15 new members in 2023.

The economic impact of the sector has risen in tandem with turnover. In fact, it is estimated that in 2023 these companies directly employed around 2,300 professionals and generated approximately 5,200 indirect jobs, most of them in local companies and neighbouring municipalities. According to these figures, employment in the sector grew by over 10% during 2023, with a high demand for skilled labour across most trades related to the high-end housing market.
