DOM3 Champions Leadership Through Happiness to Boost Member Activities in the High-End Housing Market
The association of entrepreneurs has partnered with Happyforce for its training program, set to conclude in June.
Real estate professionals are the happiest according to the Second Global Workplace Happiness Report.
Workplace happiness is not only crucial for the well-being of the team but also significantly boosts employee performance and, consequently, company profitability.
Increasing happiness levels in member companies is the primary goal of DOM3, the association of high-quality housing entrepreneurs, with its latest training session. This event featured Alex Ríos and Sergio Cancelo, founders of Happyforce, a company dedicated to measuring and promoting workplace well-being.
Focused on organizational happiness, the event allowed attendees to share experiences and receive recommendations on leadership and tips to enhance workplace well-being in their respective companies. The session was sponsored by Aalto Exclusive Design and Bang & Olufsen Marbella.
"A motivated person can double their output in mechanical tasks, while in creative roles, their performance can be up to 100 times higher if they are happy," explained Ríos, offering guidelines to motivate employees. According to him, this involves ensuring autonomy, mastery, and purpose, while providing security, variety, significance, and connection.
The business happiness measured by Happyforce and promoted by DOM3 among its members encompasses workplace environment, diversity, stress management, motivation, and the implementation of good habits, among other factors. The workshop's goal is for each company to identify its strengths and weaknesses in these areas to foster a positive work environment.
“If a worker’s productivity could be measured with precision, it would imply that the job could be done by a machine or Artificial Intelligence,” emphasized the speakers.
Another topic addressed during the session was talent retention. Attendees agreed that the primary driver for DOM3 member companies to retain their professional staff is precisely workplace well-being.
Real Estate Sector: The Happiest
According to the Second Global Workplace Happiness Report by Happyforce, real estate professionals report the highest levels of job happiness, while those in the automotive, advertising, and press sectors are the least happy. Generationally, Baby Boomers (pre-1964) and Millennials (1982-1995) are the most satisfied with their employment.
This presentation is part of the training events organized by DOM3 to boost the business activities of its members, generate synergies, and share knowledge. This series of conferences, which has included tennis coach Toni Nadal and architect Caterina de La Portilla, founder of the Leaders for Architecture platform, will conclude on June 18 with a special session to review the season.
Prior to this training session, a roundtable moderated by DOM3 President Charly Simon was held, featuring Manuel Burgos of Manuel Burgos Architects, José Luis Rodríguez of ROS Legal, Ness Yammine of Aalto Exclusive Design, and Jesús Sánchez of Jamena Construcciones. They discussed issues affecting the high-quality housing sector on the Costa del Sol, such as security, cleanliness, communication infrastructure, the growth in high-end demand, future projections, and branded residences projects.
