Entrepreneurs brings together the most important players in the high-end residential sector.

During the event, the economic forecasts of the high-end sector and the future actions of the association were presented and it was an opportunity for potential members

The DOM3 Association of Entrepreneurs for High Quality Housing brought together more than fifty of the most important companies in the high-end residential sector in the area at an event held on 23rd March at the Coto restaurant in La Zagaleta. In addition to these companies, DOM3 members and authorities such as the Mayor of Benahavís, José Antonio Mena, the Councillor for Tourism of the Benahavís Town Hall, Scott Marshall, and the Councillor for Employment Promotion of the Marbella Town Hall, Cristóbal Garre, were also present.

The aim of this meeting was to inform the attendees about the medium and long term forecasts for this important sector, as well as the association’s programme of future actions. In addition, this first event of the new Board of Directors was also an opportunity for potential and exclusive members to get to know the association and what it represents first hand.

The event also featured a presentation by Jaime Martínez-Brocal, director of training and technological development at San Telmo Business School, who gave the guidelines for companies to adapt their businesses to the current turbulent and hectic times and highlighted that the area in which we live will see a strong increase in tourism this year, as this activity is expected to experience a strong upturn in 2023.

For his part, Juan Mancha, president of the DOM3 association, explained the objectives pursued by the group, such as looking after the interests of the high-end market, sharing quality information and high-level training, as well as promoting this market and giving it the prestige it truly has. However, he also wanted to point out that the place chosen for this first event of the new board of directors, the Coto restaurant, in the vicinity of La Zagaleta, is a clear example of a job well done by the members of DOM3, as several of them have participated in its refurbishment.

He also had words of thanks for the sponsors who have made this professional meeting possible, among which are the partners Román Windows & Doors, Atlas Group, Proinsermant, Illusion, Charly Simon or B. Solís; the company Bang & Olufsen Marbella, as well as the Coto restaurant itself and the collaborators Beex, Bentley Marbella, One2One, San Telmo and Imagen Consulting.

José Antonio Mena, Mayor of Benahavís, has highlighted the value of the sector represented by the DOM3 association as it is an important source of wealth and employment for the whole area. In addition, the mayor stressed the importance of a fluid and stable collaboration between the administrations and organisations such as DOM3 with the aim of working for the common good of maintaining this sector.

The celebration of this event is in line with the actions proposed by the new Board of Directors to continue working to increase the visibility of the association and make it a benchmark within the sector of high quality home construction in its area of influence: Marbella, Estepona and Benahavís.

In addition, this meeting has also served as a letter of introduction of the association to future and potential members and collaborators, “whose presence and support is essential to strengthen the association and for it to continue working towards its objectives and highlighting the needs of this important economic and social sector,” said the president.

It should be remembered that among the objectives of the association are, among others, to promote the exchange of experiences and information with entrepreneurs and professionals in the sector and complementary; promote initiatives that serve to improve the knowledge and operation of the sector or promote research, development of knowledge and innovation in all links of the business value chain.

DOM3’s clear premise on which it bases its actions is that the development and construction of high quality homes is a strategic sector in the area of influence of the so-called Golden Triangle of Marbella, Estepona and Benahavís, as this economic activity generates wealth and employment. For this reason, the organisation has the obligation to continuously improve the competitiveness of the companies that form part of DOM3, as well as that of the high-end sector in general, within the complex international residential tourism market.
