María Jesús García Granja
María Jesús García Granja is an Architect (2000) with a Doctorate Teaching Period Certificate in Architectural and Urban Rehabilitation (2006), both from the University of Seville. She holds a DEA in Graphic Representation and Design Techniques (2011) and a Master's Degree in Teaching (2010) from the University of Málaga (UMA), as well as a Master's Degree in BIM Manager with Autodesk Revit (2016) from the San Pablo CEU University Foundation. Regarding her language training, she has an Advanced Level (B2) certificate in French (2012) from the Official School of Languages and Alliance Française and in English (2015) from Trinity College. She has developed her professional activity as a freelance architect (2001-2015), carrying out projects for private and public developers such as IMV, EPSA, Ministries of Housing, Finance and Justice, Bishopric or UMA, combining this work with her position as Head of the Technical Office of the T3 of Malaga Airport (2008-2010) and with her work as a Technician of the Andalusian Public Agency of Education and Training (2014-2015). She has been a lecturer at the Department of Art and Architecture of the School of Architecture of Malaga, in the areas of Architectural Composition and Urban and Regional Planning since 2015. She is also academic co-director and lecturer of the UMA Degree "University Expert in BIM with Autodesk Revit Architecture" (2017-2019) and coordinator and lecturer of 7 editions of the "Practical Course on BIM with Autodesk Revit" of the General Foundation of the University of Malaga (2016-2019). When her duties have allowed her to do so, she has combined her work as a Teaching and Research Professor at the UMA with teaching BIM in subjects such as Expression Techniques (2nd year) or Digital Techniques (3rd year) as a lecturer on the Degree in Interior Design at EADE University (2016-2017). She is a researcher in the SICA HUM-964 CTA group "Communication, Technology and Architecture", and has been awarded, in the Teaching and Research Teaching Staff category, in the XXI Spin-Off Competition of the UMA (2017) for the BIMóPOLIS project "3D Smart Solutions for the Smart City." She is main research of the project "Biblio-Smart: Intelligent system of reservation of seats in university buildings with BIM model" (patent pending) of the I Own Plan Smart Campus of the UMA (20.18-2019) and researcher of the research agreement "Malaka.net: Bases for the sustainable Rehabilitation of the Historical Heritage of Malaga" signed between the UMA and the IMV of the City Council of Malaga (2018-2019). She also participates in the UMA Educational Innovation Project PIE 17-140 "Strategies for the integration of BIM in the Degree in Architecture", in the UMA Chair -in agreement with the City Council of Malaga- "Strategies of Emerging Technologies for Citizenship", in the Project "Islands and Green Paths" of the UMA Vice-Rectorate Smart-Campus, in the programme "GENERA, STEM Women UMA-PTA" and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal BIM & Construction Management magazine.
