Angel Asenjo Díaz

Angel Asenjo Díaz was born in Málaga in 1946. He began his studies at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, which he completed in the early seventies. He furthered his education in Madrid until 1976 at the studios of architects José González Edo and José Serrano Suñer Polo. He then founded Estudio A. Asenjo y Asociados, S.L.P. in Malaga, where he has since carried out a wide range of architectural and town planning projects, adapting at all times to the changing demands that have been placed on the firm over the years. Some of the most noteworthy architectural projects carried out by the studio include the Playas del Duque Residential Complex in Marbella, the Rosaleda and Málaga-Plaza Shopping Centres in Málaga and the Trade Fair and Congress Centre in Málaga, among others. And some of their most noteworthy urban development projects include the Bahía de Málaga and Playa Fenicia tourist complexes, as well as the urban development projects for the University of Málaga and the Ensanche de Teatinos in Málaga, and La Serranía-La Ermita in Marbella, among others. Outside Spain, he has completed the Master Plan and Architectural and Engineering Drawing projects for the New Campus of the University of Rivers State, Port Harcourt, as well as the Plateau Tower Buildings and the Emerald Garden Residential Complex in Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently developing important residential architectural projects in the Bulevar Pasteur de Teatinos and Colinas del Limonar sectors in Malaga, as well as others in Marbella and elsewhere on the Costa del Sol. The studio has received various architectural and town planning awards and its owner and collaborators have appeared at conferences and in publications, publicising the work they have carried out and the studies and research they have undertaken in the areas covered by the studio.
