Alejandro Giménez

Alejandro Giménez is an Architect and Interior Designer. Born in Málaga in 1972, he studied in Spain, the United States and Germany before graduating from the Higher School of Architecture in Seville in 1999. His style is strongly influenced by the architecture of the place where he lives and grew up on the Mediterranean coast, and the white villages of Andalusia. However, he has also spent a lot of time in Mexico and Japan, and incorporates ideas, colours and spaces from both countries into his designs. These influences converge in order to create spaces full of beauty and harmony. "My aim is to create a pure, serene and relaxing space where it is a pleasure to live that becomes a place that we look forward to returning to after a hard day's work..." Alejandro Giménez Arquitectos (ARKIMIA) was founded in 1999. Located on the Costa del Sol, Málaga, the company is responsible for the planning and design of all types of housing, offices and partial plans for large developments. The studio focuses on the design of a creative architecture that pays attention to detail in order to create homes tailored to its clients' needs. The work is approached comprehensively, starting with project planning that combines and unites the interior and exterior. The process begins with the elaboration of a detailed programme that includes the needs and wishes of the clients, analysis of the terrain and legal building possibilities. Based on these criteria, the clients receive several detailed ideas and sketches of an ideal space for their needs and dreams. The client will participate and be an active part of the whole working process. EXPERIENCE They have designed and built homes in the following urbanisations: Sotogrande, Montemayor, La Zagaleta, El Madroñal, Nueva Andalucía, Sierra Blanca-Naguelles, Las Chapas, La Mairena and Calahonda.
